You surely already know about the victory of the Rouge Horizon Tomahawks in the championship game of the Ligue Fédérale des As on Saturday. Thanks to our sponsors from Tremblay beer and the Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation, several door prizes were handed out along with a bonus prize that was drawn today (Monday) by Johnny the custodian at the Collège Notre-Dame arena.
Johnny was instrumental in making our event a success and allowing us to raise a good amount for the foundation. (The exact total will be coming soon when all the accounting is complete.)
Without people like Johnny and the volunteers who pitched in, it would be impossible for the Hockey Brotherhood Association and the LFA to organize such an event. Larry, Jeremy Lancelin, Benoit Gervais, Martin Beauchamps et Pierre-Luc Goudreault also contributed to the preparations and to the success of this first major event by our young league, which was hatched from the Hockey Brotherhood which was founded in 1999.
The final amount of money raised along with the winning numbers of the door prizes will be transmitted in next weeks news.
Meanwhile, here's a little video of Monday morning's draw
