THE PLAYER OF THE MONTH IN THE LFA

With the end of another month of activities in the Ligue Fédérale des As comes the time to vote from our ranks for the player of the month for November. It’s a task that will be more difficult than usual given 15 players changed addresses and one new player joined our ranks to replace a player who hung up the skates for health reasons. Two players, in fact, if we count the goaltender for the Tomahawks, Nicholas Chagnon, who should be back at the beginning of February if all goes well, but nothing is certain at the moment.

Here are your candidates for the vote as nominated by their teams, along with some comments about them from their teammates.

Sébastien Mainville was the unanimous choice of his team, the McCarrold’s Shamrocks. Here are a few comments by the friends and teammates of the prolific right winger: “He always sets himself apart by his positive and energetic attitude in the room,” according to his centre who was getting ready for a match against the Loggers. “In this 2015 season he’s shown the extent of his abilities especially his qualities as an exemplary teammate and an unexpected harvest of goals,” said our most intellectual defenceman. “He really has the Shamrocks crest tattooed on his chest!” proclaimed the rest of the team in unison. The Shamrocks have clearly found another leader to guide them toward the playoffs, where games really count.

Obtained in an Oct. 22 transaction, Patrick Baldwin has become an important player in the victories of the Avengers in November. Pat is a tireless backchecker and forechecker and a generous teammate. He passed up on an empty net to feed his captain to allow him to complete a hattrick in one game this month.

Ludovic Helias of the BIly Kun Czechers was selected for the leadership qualities he shows in the room and his positive attitude despite losses. He always gives his best effort on the ice and shows character in difficult situations.

Nicholas Chagnon is the player of the month for the Tomahawks, a goalie that plays with the spirit of a warrior and to whom we wish a prompt recovery.

Patrice Vichier is the nominee for the Loggers for is defencive and offensive play, and for is positive attitude in victory like in deffeat.

Derek Martin is the choice of the Vipers because he always gives à 100% at each game, is one of our better defensemen, contibutes more and more to the team and never misses a game.

Don’t forget as players and fans you have until midnight on Friday to vote for the player of the month for November. As for our new teams, we'll talk about them some other time.

Have a good week!
