As you probably know, February is "Black history month" ...
I take the opportunity to invite you to further your education on the subject, particularly in regard to their role in the evolution of our national sport.
You will discover through these links that once again, those who write history books oftenshape it to their advantage, omitting certain details or events, even taking credit that should be given to others ... Another example that we ought to dig deeper to get the facts straight before believing anything or anybody….
«A fly in a pail of milk»…autobiography by Herb Carnegie...Not the best book but quite a story of determination…
«Black Ice: The Lost History of the Colored Hockey League of the Maritimes, 1895-1925» or the history of Blacks in hockey since the beginning (although when does it really begin, does anyone know ?)
In fact here is a book I would like to find on the subject:«Splendid is the Sun: The 5,000 Year History of Hockey»Seems like it began a long time ago !!!!!!
