THE AVENGERS ARE REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONS!!!

The 2015-2016 Pub Saint-Paul Avengers, including some substitutes

Yesterday at 4:30 PM started the game opposing the Shamrocks and Avengers for the regular season title. There was only a one point difference between the two teams, so everybody was expecting a very close game, maybe even a shootout. We were all surprised to see the Avengers take an urly 6-0 lead in the first period. The men in blue started the game like lions, and the Shamrocks who are usually very good in their own zone had a lot of difficulties to challenge the Avengers speed and intensity.

In the second and third period, the Shamrocks managed to score a couple of goals, but finally the result was all for the Avengers advantage who won their first championship!

Aanother interesting fact of the evening was the race between Jean-Philippe Harvey (52) and Patrice Vichier (51) for the best scorer of regular season title. With a production of 1 goal and 5 assists yesterday, Harvey took a 7 points lead in the race. His closest rival had to score at least 7 points to tie him or 8 to win the scoring race. In his game against the Tomahawks, the Logger's forward scored 4 goals and add 3 assists, and those 7 points placed him at equality with Harvey, both having 58 points!!! Note that Patrice Vichier managed this incredible fact with 6 games less than his opponant and with an incredible ratio of more than 3,64 points per game!
