THE KING IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE KING !
For those who do not know their history, the title of the present news is drawn from the monarchical tradition of saluting the death of a sovereign, thus the end of an era, with the advent of his successor's reign. This gave an impression of the sustainability of the system; The same is possible today with our hockey league!
So we welcome the champions of the 2016-2017 season , the Meteors, who have found numerous ways to win throughout the season. The Grande Finale game was the most exciting one in LFA's history, with three goals from Francois Bourbonnais team in the third, forcing overtime. The momentum obtained at the end of the game allowed the men in orange to quickly end the suspense, with a great team goal right from the start of the extra time!
The consternation could be read on the Avengers faces, who believed they could achieve the feat of being the reigning champions of the regular season and the playoffs! The god of hockey decided otherwise!
This incredible game will have help raise a good sum of money for Sun Youth's SLAP hockey development program. The final sum will be announced soon when the last donations have come in. We can now announce the colors of the new teams, as the alignments will be determined this week. Several new players will join the league, so it will be in the advantage of all to welcome them well and to explain to those who will have misunderstood what the spirit of the league is all about so we can all play good fun hockey without the usual BS that we see in many other leagues..
We are always looking for new recruts, so eather as a sub of future regular player, sign-up, you will be glad you did ! Check out what our players have to say about the LFA, Montreal's premier hockey league. http://www.lfahockey.com/tmoignages-des-membres-en/
So it was with a Grand Finale game worthy of hockey history books that a colorful season ended, and announces a summer season in continuity with what the league seeks to create as an atmosphere.
Have a nice summer everyone,
