This season due to the availability of the arena at Notre-Dame College, La Ligue Fédérale des As will have several weekends without hockey games. To overcome this reality that will make us miss a weekend out of two from January 27 until the end of February and to offer a more interesting alternative to its members that a Saturday spent shopping for the guest room at the 10-30. The LFA launches the LFA RUSH and thus its first tournament. The latter will take place at the Excellent Ice complex in Kirkland on the 3 vs 3 rinks. This tournament will also allow the league to make known its 3v3 league program it wants to establish this summer.

For those who are not familiar with this formula, the reduced size of the three ice rinks of the complex allow a smaller number of players to compete making for a very exciting fast pass game where the offens as all the honours but where goalies can steel the show as they are extremely solicited with shots beeing fired at them from all over with many brake aways to boot !

In the friendly spirit of the league and to offer another meeting platform to REGULAR members like SUBSTITUTE players, the teams for the tournament will be formed through a draft following the established cuts of the players. Contrary to our habits, it will be the goalkeepers who have registered in the tournament who will choose their players with the help of the administration of the league to guarantee us balanced teams of six players each (+ 1 goalie).

The LFA RUSH will be held on Saturday, February 10th, starting at 4 pm with 30-minute games so that no one will wait too long between their matches. Each team is guaranteed to play at least three games with the crowning of our champions and the awarding of a new trophy created exclusively for the event in-house by the league.

The cost of the tournament is $ 55 tax in per player and you will be entitled to various door prizes as well as special prices at the canteen and bar overlooking the three ice. It's a great Saturday that awaits us so get your game face on and come have some fun ! The number of places is limited so do not wait and confirm your presence now because the draft will take place on February 4th.
