AS THE SEASON STARTED ?!

Salut guys,

One is forced to admit that we have ad a tuff start to the season with a festival of absences week after week in the central division. The abnormally warm weather is no longer the reason I believe but more so a busy famely agenda. It is not the end of the world as long as we have enough substitutes to fill the gap. But it is certain that when half of the team is composed of "subs" cohesion is rarely to be seen.

PLAY MORE OR WATCH THE ZAMBONI PASS ?!

Unlike last season in the central division, the first three weeks of activities have seen us put aside the adopted regulations concerning the zamboni. Indeed, given the quality of the ice this season we did not pass the zamboni every second period like what we did from last January on. Most of the guys questioned seem to support the idea of laying more hockey so unless there is a widespread protest movement, we will continue this mode of operation leaving out the passing of the zamboni every second period.

THE NEW LFA CUSTOM BOUTIQUE IS NOW ONLINE!

For several seasons now, players have been asking us to have accessoris with the logo of their team. It's now possible with the creation of our brand new LFA boutique. http://www.lfahockey.com/lfa-custom-en/#!/ And those who still do not have items with the logo of the league and who wish to support it while promoting it, visit our official boutique http://www.lfahockey.com/lfa-official-en/ and order directly from the management to save you taxes and shipping costs.

ON THE LOOK OUT FOR INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS

Following our games against two Swiss teams, the league administration decided to set up a section on our site with various international partners to allow our members to travel and play hockey at the same time and the opposite to happen if ever a member of a foreign team decides to visit us. Anyone with hockey contacts worlwide, please let us know so we can add them to our list.

THE FIRST PLAYER OF THE MONTH PRO-JET DEMOLITION OF THE SEASON!

This little wind of fresh autumn air brings with it our first player of the month of the season and La Ligue Fédérale des As is proud to appoint Eric Champagne as the Pro-Jet Demolition player of the month of September in the LFA. Everyone who has the chance to play with him knows what he brings to a team with his desire to win, his hard work and his analysis of the game. More than a team player, Eric is a true ambassador for the LFA who understands exactly what it means to be part of a league and a family. For these and many other reasons, we are pleased to acknowledge Eric's important contribution to our group.

MERGERS OF CERTAIN SECTIONS ON OUR SITE

The league administration has been working consistently for over four years to refine and optimize your hockey experience on as well as off the ice. You will have noticed a few months ago the merging of the sections: LFA News, Special Collaboration, LFA Billboard and While sipping a last one under the LFA JOURNAL. In our latest merger you will now find information about all our regular members with what they do, where they live and how to reach them, eliminating the networking and car pooling sections to put everything under PLAYERS INFO. Hoping that this effort by the League administration to build bridges between our members will be helpful and contribute to your well being and satisfaction to be part of the LFA and the family spirit it promotes.

FIRST AND HOPEFULLY LAST EXPULSION OF THE SEASON

It is never fun to tell someone that he is no longer welcome and that he can no longer play in the league. Yet this is what the administration of the LFA had to do this week with a well known player in the league who played with the Torpedose and wore the # 6.  So for the benefit of all and following several complaints towards him we decided to replace him and invited him to go play elsewhere.

The first idea is to have fun all together. The LFA is competitive BUT first of all friendly. A good attitude on and off the ice is paramount for the benefit of all. As a hockey legend has already said "Be like a child and leave your ego at the door"

Let's have fun boys!
