/But for me, the highlight this week was the fact that my brother came down from Gatineau to join my team. A first in our «careers», having never had the opportunity to play in a «official game» together, our age difference (9 years) making it impossible in my childhood. But he coached me a few times in my early years and showed me the basis of the game, in fact he literally taught me how to skate, my father not being a player or a skater at the time. Then he stopped playing in his early twenties when I was only a teenager ....

/What for me was the highlight of the night, (there are two in fact) But which I unfortunately was unable to witness, since I was preparing for my game, is certainly the Czeckers victory with Jeremy Lancelin scoring the tying goal and Thomas Saddi the game winner, who I was told «was a thing of beauty»...

/...The holidays are approaching and next Saturday, the first "Dinner-Party-Gala-Extravaganza"of the LFA will be held... And it is at these moments that we can see the guys for who our league is like a «big family» as the «league Commissioner» likes to say… They are not necessarily best buddies who call and see each other outside the ice, but they know how to appreciate each other and are able to put things into perspective and celebrate the sport we all love.

/I had a funny feeling when I showed up at the arena Saturday, knowing it was the last time I played with my original team with who I experienced ups and downs since the beginning of the season. Although we had lost more than we should have and/or wanted, we knew we could do better, but we will never have gotten the chance to show it , especially having lost our last game 3-0 against the Czeckers, who had «the wind in their sails» to say the least !

/...But what I will really remember from this Saturday, is that it's always fun to see situations tainted with animosity, or conflicts resolved bringing back harmony and happiness between the people involved. It is said that time arranges things and this is somewhat true, but it is mainly trough discussion and communication that negativity is defeated and when the dust finally settles, both parties can see more clearly and put the record straight ... (I think it made more sense in French but What the fuck !)
