It is by popular demand by two or maybe even three people that I am back with a lil sumptin’  for those who sometimes read these lines !!! No jokes it's been a while and a lot of stuff has happened since: If we remember ... or not, the «tasting» of the Tremblay trophy, or the unveiling of the team’s new logos etc …It's just one event after another ! 

In french (or should I say «in Québecois» which is more accurate), there is an expression that one can use when he just learned something new and of a certain value that translates as «I’ll go to bed a little less stupid tonight»(«M’a m’coucher moins niaiseux à soir») So it is in this spirit that I’m I inviting you to take a look at this week’s episode of Canada's premier investigative documentary program that never fails to probe all aspects of a subject or issue: "The Fifth Estate" , a true reference in the field for almost forty years ...

I didn’t see the games yesterday except for the last one , since I was playing in it !! But from what I've heard, they were good ones, every match could have gone to one side or the other but as is often the case in hockey, the most opportunistic team or the one making the fewest mistakes ended up winning. In any case the league commissionner is pretty happy with the balance of the teams and can say mission accomplished on that one ... From my perspective , I'm happy that it's been a while since there we had situations or events requiring an intervention by the disciplinary committee and I'm kind of proud to see that !!!

As you probably know, February is "Black history month" ...

I take the opportunity to invite you to further your education on the subject, particularly in regard to their role in the evolution of our national sport.

It was with a small dose of apprehension that I anticipated this Saturday's games in the absence of the president of the league, but all in all, things went pretty well, especially since he was taking care of finding the countless subs from a distance, some of which at the last minute, which is always interesting ...

We had three great games this Saturday, tight scores and spectacular performances by several guys. But alas, once again, an unfortunate incident tarnished the good image of our beloved league ... Although at the time, the crazy scene that ensued made me laugh, the gesture that caused and it and it’s consequences were no laughing matter and once again the disciplinary committee had to suspend a player.

Finally, my digital mishap (“digital"as in related to fingers, not technology) will have kept me out of the game for only nine days or 2 games, to my great delight !!! While it is far from being healed, with a bit of tape, extra padding and adding a customized protective"cap" on my glove, I am “back in business" almost as if nothing had happened ... I must say I have never "had hands," so a messed up a finger doesn’t change much ....

It is when we are «sidelined» that we realize how much we like to play hockey but also that health is priceless because it does not take much to not be able to go about our daily lives in a “normal" manner, either because of illness or in my case because of a rather unusual accidental injury that happened to me last Tuesday which also happened to be my last game of 2014...

I have to admit I couldn’t wait for the arrival of our hockey socks, and I have to say I was not disappointed. I dont know for the other teams but in our case, at least in my personal case, and maybe because I am a “visual" guy, I felt like our team had truly become a "unit" and this even though we had 2 spares. I had to swear to the President that I would recover the precious socks with their jerseys after the game because they are "custom made" and to replace them would be quite expensive it seems ...
