Your team and the league
It is customary in hockey to show up at least 30 minutes before your game in order to bond with your teammates, have time to prepare well and make an adequate game plan. In the same sense, it is strongly recommended to stay after your match and share a few beers (or juice / water) with your teammates and the other members of the league in order to promote a warm atmosphere and respect between the players of all the teams. . The LFA does not tolerate bad behavior and disrespectful gestures of any kind.

HOCKEY RULES
The league encourages "Change on the fly" to maximize our ice time and the pace of the game. However, you will be able to change at stoppage time (except during a disallowed relief for the offending team) and the referee will wait 5 SECONDS once at the face-off before putting the puck back in play. If a team delays the match and is not ready after the 5 second time limit, she will receive a penalty on the referee's third warning. And another if the team continues to delay the game in the judgment of the referees. Other adjustments have been made to our rules, please read them on our site. Here are the main hockey rules:
Duration of games
All our games offer 3 periods of 22 minutes of continuous play.
* The Select Division offers 1h15 of play for the winter season.
Timeout
A 30 second timeout is permitted.
Draw
If a game ends in a tie we have shootouts to determine a winner. Three players from each formation must be chosen beforehand so as not to waste time at the end of the games. A victory in regulation is worth 3 points, 2 points in shootout with 1 point for the losing team.
Penalties
Les punitions mineures sont de 2 minutes à temps arrêté.
Puck in the protective net
If a puck is thrown onto the protective net at the ends of the playing surface and lands on the ice, play continues. These rules were implemented in order to increase playing time and reduce unnecessary waste of time.
