WHILE SIPPING A LAST ONE....WITHOUT LARRY

Last night’s games won't go down in history but we still saw La Cabane Express get a point in the standings against the Bifteck Avengers despite the absence of half of its roster including their captain . Some say it’s good for the league and it shows parity in the LFA and they are right. We cannot say this about the second game of our " Satnite hockey classics " which concluded in a 6 to 2 win for the Red Horizon Tomahawks against the Bily Kun Czechers who weren’t in the game from the get go . Interestingly, the Toms sponsor, François Poirier played his first game in the league and enjoyed the experience if I rely on his post-game comments and his smile filled with satisfaction .

After the game me and a handful of boys gathered at la Cabane to catch the Habs game against the Black Hawks and then continued on our way to the Bifteck to support another sponsor who helps the league greatly. A Significant absent to our usual post games get together was our friend Larry who usually signs this column as he had to work this weekend . He told me as I was writing this article that he misses his weekly LFA fix.

This was a big contrast to last week when the latter lived an important moment with his brother who joined us and a bunch of boys and girls (since a few of the girlfriends of some of our players often accompany them in our post-games celebrations) They had played their first ever hockey game together followed by a couple of beers, stories and laughs during a great evening. Weeks go by and are different on and off the ice . Hopefully next Saturday will bring us well fought games and many folks to our post-game get together's which have always  been  part of the total experience of our " Satnite hockey classics " for over 15 years thanks to the Hockey Brotherhood and the people who gravitate around it.

Last but not least I would like to welcome Tracy Chou to the team,  she joins Lisette Nepveu in covering the LFA games. Because of them, our site as more to share with you, hopeful future LFA members and more and more fans !
