We arrive at the weekend of no return, the matches that will determine who will take part in the big dance, the party, the master game! Many months, injuries and games have passed since September and it is this weekend that everyone must put their cards on the table and give the best of what they have to offer if they want to play in our Grand Finale.

I include the ladies this week in my usual hey ho!!  As they seem determined more than ever with good reasons to change things in our societies since the advent of the #Metoo movement, #moiaussi and the especially contemptuous #balancetonporc that says a lot about some radical feminists. I have been silent on this topic since it started preferring to let the wave pass as my idea about the derivation of the feminist movement and the place of man in our western societies is already made after years of studying the phenomena.

For the past few seasons, Notre-Dame College's hockey program has been using more and more ice time on weekends, and the result has seen the LFA season schedule cut by a few weekends. For the first time ever the league recently set up a 3-on-3 tournament to deal with this situation and on Saturday we will play our first winter regular season game away from home by moving the show to the Pierrefonds Sportplexe with 3 of our games played on the olympique size ice surface. To welcome us, the Sportplexe administration will graciously offer each team a 2 for 1 deal on beer pitchers after the game at the bar which will surely be appreciated by our members.

Although overall, the team's formation by the league since the beginning of its existence has always allowed us to have balanced units. The league's administration would like to try an experiment by putting together another type of draft for our next season. Naturally, to ensure a certain balance within the LFA, we will have to put in place certain rules to avoid foul play.

This week begins the registration campaign for our various summer and winter divisions. With more and more members and offers of days and divisions in which to play, the LFA must settle registrations before signing agreements with our various suppliers including the arenas. All seasons must be prepared well in advance for things to go well. That said, to show its appreciation, the league with the complicity of the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard gives you the chance to win a pair of very good tickets to see the Canadiens for all those who will register in any division BEFORE THE 1ST OF MARCH. 

In our society we have rights that many people do not have around the world and one of these is to be able to express our voice, our point of view and to be heard by voting for the candidate of our choice. By taking action we contribute to the community, the democratic process and social debate while supporting the person, the party... or the PLAYER in this case whose values are close to our own. Someone who is valued and recognized for his combativeness and his convictions, a team player, who participates in the collective life of the league and who is respected for his righteousness and the way he behaves with others of his clan as well as those of the opposition.
