It is more inspiring to write after we had 3 good games without any bullshit (among regulars that is... alas there are subs who still don’t get the Brotherhood's principles I guess...) It was fun to see good hockey without whining or arguing with the ref, and also we were treated to two «premières»; the return on the ice of «the president» who played two big games (2 wins, with a goal and several assists), but especially the participation of the first woman to play in the LFA.

As I know that JF will talk about it, I'll just say that I believe we will see her again because Maguy seemed to have a lot of fun and "blended in the game" like a fish in water. I guess it was not the first time she played with boys !!! Again, the LFA shows its openness and expands the horizons of Adult Hockey !

I had the privilege to have my post-game meal sitting next to Thierry (our regular referee), which in itself is again a sign of openness by the members of our league of which he is also part of, in a way. Seated in the middle of representatives from each team and as we ate and drank together, I took the opportunity to inquire about one of his decisions that had people talking ...

In the second game, there was a bit of mayhem and the main culprit (a sub playing for the LOGGERS) was sent to the penalty bench for 6 minutes ... I'll spare you the details, but his actions and behaviour pushed 2 guys from the AVENGERS to want to let him «know their minds» which earned them 3 minutes each. Nothing so special about that you tell me, but what was uncharacteristic is that the game continued at 5 on 5, which is strange but Thierry explained he wanted to punish the wrongdoers and not the rest of the boys who after all pay to play, all and all in this case I think it was actually quite a “fair" call ...
