AND THE CHAMPIONS ARE...
/The Avengers, champions of the season and playoffs of the 2016 Summer Season.
On August 30 was held the 2016 Summer Championship, which opposed the Avengers and the Vipers. The spectators had the opportunity to watch the game, enjoy the BBQ operated by Sun Youth and drink Tremblay beer to the sound of music. The evening went well overall, but the game itself took an unexpected turn when the Avengers started to add unanswered goals to end the game with a final score of 6-0. Several of the league's players present in the stands were expecting a close game, the Vipers counting on the best goaltender and an experienced and effective defensive brigade. It was not enough to counter the speed and offensive intensity of the men in blue, who exerted constant pressure on their opponents and completely dominated the Vipers a good part of the game.
It was perhaps not the best game in the history of the LFA, but overall the league and its players have continued the tradition and have contributed to their community by collecting a good amount of money for Sun Youth's SLAP program. The final amount raised at the event will be announced as soon as possible.
